Growing up in the countryside of southwest England, Josh was taught how to write using fountain pens from a very young age. Fascinated with the tools involved in the art of calligraphy, Josh continued to hone this skill for the years to come. In 2023, after working in California for 6 years, Josh has returned to his home in Queenstown, New Zealand and has developed his technique for drawing instead of writing, using fountain pens and traditional India inks. Fine line drawings, a technique that has been around for centuries, has proven a very therapeutic and soothing way to creatively express what he feels living in such a beautiful place.
